Anthropic introduces Claude Science, an AI workbench for researchers

Anthropic has launched Claude Science, an AI workbench aimed at researchers who need more than a general-purpose chat interface for scientific work.

What it bundles

  • Integration with tools and packages researchers already rely on day to day
  • Auditable artifacts generated alongside results, for reproducibility
  • Flexible access to computing resources scaled to the task

Why a dedicated science product

General chat assistants struggle with the reproducibility and audit-trail requirements of scientific work. By packaging compute access and artifact generation directly into the workbench, Anthropic is betting that domain-specific tooling — rather than a bigger general model — is what unlocks real adoption in research labs.
